Berisha said this front must be open and powerful, to challenge and defeat current governance, which, according to him, has failed to meet commitments to citizens and has brought about a climate of uncertainty and lack of development opportunities.
Sali Berisha, leader of the Democratic Party, confirmed that the DP would establish a coalition with the Freedom Party and other parties to secure a secure victory.
He stressed that this coalition would produce a positive result, while adding that the coalition's final line would determine negotiations between the parties.
So he at least declared during a meeting of the city of Pogradec activists and urbanists, where Berisha raised his concern for <x0->aggression mafia” threatening the city's identity.
He said the Tower construction project in Pogradec is only one of several investments supported by very dangerous criminal organisations from Europe and the world.
According to Berisha, these projects, although promoted as modern and positive initiatives, are actually a threat to the city's cultural and historical heritage, including U estimates. NESTO. He stressed that Pogradec, a city known for its beauty and history, now risks becoming a concrete city where his identity is finally lost.
Berisha accused Prime Minister Edi Rama's government of supporting these projects and of his role in “of hiding” of negative influences that these projects will have on the city and on its sustainable development.
He also stressed that there is no transparency in sharing construction permits and the expropriations related to these projects, stressing that Rama has included in this process various actors who, according to him, are not interested in the long-term development of the city, but only for immediate benefits.
In another proposal, Berisha stressed that the Democratic Party has always been a leading force for Albania's development.
He spoke enthusiastically about the party's history and the fact that it has played a key role in removing Albania from isolation and its integration into international institutions.
The former prime minister underlined that the DP has always defended the freedom, dignity and national interests of Albanians and that it will continue to be a powerful force working for the good of citizens.
The 34th anniversary of the Democratic Party's establishment is a moment of reflection, where Berisha considered it an opportunity to honour those who were the first to sign for the party's creation.
He also expressed the need to establish a broader opposition front, which would unite all parties aimed at changing and strengthening democracy in Albania.
Berisha said this front must be open and powerful, to challenge and defeat current governance, which, according to him, has failed to meet commitments to citizens and has brought about a climate of uncertainty and lack of development opportunities.
In the end, Berisha concluded his word by saying that the Democratic Party will continue to defend the interests of Albanians and work for a stronger and united Albania, seeking support for the coalition that will be formed for the upcoming elections.
