The Kosovo post, through its Philateli, has today released the post stamp show “Venbanations -- Janeva”, sharing the history and beauty of one of Kosovo's oldest and most unique settlements.
Two unique stamps come as a bridge between the past and the present, bringing Janjevo into the hands of every collector and kind of culture.
Kosovo's post announces that details have been presented that make Janjevo special: its narrow, long-standing lanes, centuries-old monuments that keep within the history of a living community and the spirit of traditions that still pulse to every corner of this ancient country.
“Janjava is a town on the Kosovo plateau, on the territory of the municipality of Lipjan. It lies in a valley at the foot of the Jagoci Mountains, about 12km southeast of Pristina. Janjevo is no longer just a destination. It becomes an experience. Now, she can travel with you, carrying memories, messages and love of culture in every corner of the world, says the communique.
