A group of Bosnia and Herzegovina citizens has arrived in Kosovo via the border with Albania in the early hours of January 1st, 2025.
They have come to an organisation of the Albanian BiH Community in co-ordination with Kosovo Prime Minister Albin Kurti. They were welcomed by Deputy Prime Minister Emilia Rexhepi.
The “travelers that will be included on this trip are <x1-intellectuals, ambassadors, university professors, academics, businessmen from Bosnia and Herzegovina and other prominent citizens and members of the Albanian Community in BiH, who have not been able to visit the Republic of Kosovo for more than several decades“, the report said.
This trip will also represent an act of informal recognition of the sovereignty and independence of the Republic of Kosovo by intellectuals and other influential persons in BiH and thus provide another impetus to the BiH authorities to do the same for Kosovo citizens and to lift the rigorous visa procedure and enable travel with IDs of the Republic of Kosovo and an incentive for easier economic and academic co-operation in the future and improved relations in all spheres of our society, said the report.
