The Penal Court in Brussels has again declared a life sentence Wednesday for Veselin Vukotovic and Andrija Draskovic, who are charged with killing Kosovo human rights activist Enver Hadri.

Hadri was killed in Brussels 35 years ago.

The court has ruled that Hadri was killed on orders of the former Yugoslavia's intelligence service.

This has been revealed by the Hadri family, who for many years has sought justice before Belgium's courts over Enver's murder.

Vukotic's guilt and Draskovic had been confirmed by the jury Tuesday, while the sentence was announced Wednesday.

The jury made these decisions after hearing witnesses and reviews of evidence that the prosecution presented, but also the defence lawyers.

Veselin Vukotic and Andrija Draskovic, along with Bozidar Spasac, were also sentenced to life imprisonment in 2016, but the two sides had complained so the trial had been repeated.

Bozidar Spasac, senior Belgrade Intelligence Service official, has not complained, meaning that his life sentence remains in force.

The convicts are located in Serbia, and the trial in Brussels has been held in absentia.

Enver Hadri was killed on February 15, 1990, in Brussels by car shooting.

The investigations conducted, meanwhile, concluded that the assassination was done with political motives, organised by Yugoslav services and with logistical support from underground Belgrade.

Enver Hadri was chairman of the Committee for Protection of Human Rights in Kosovo and a political immigrant who collected documents to prove the violence of the Serbian regime against Albanians in Kosovo.

Enver Hadr's murder was rated as one of the five best-known political killings committed by the Yugoslav Secret Service./ REL
