The investigative group in Albania has called for INTERPOL's help to identify and locate suspected authors after they allegedly fled to Kosovo after the event.
According to Euronews police sources, the execution is allegedly carried out using two vehicles. One of the tools served to realize the assassination, and the other to remove the authors after the first vehicle was burned.
Due to the dynamics of the incident, the execution is allegedly carried out by professional killers who have thought everything through details, including the escape route.
It becomes known that Christian Mark had been followed for several days before the event occurred. He had rented a vehicle in Tirana, which suggests his movements were under constant scrutiny by the authors.
The event culminated in the vicinity of Levan's siege, where the authors allegedly followed Mark and subsequently carried out the assassination near Novosela's underpass.
The investigative group is looking into several leads, in connection with the event, where one of the most important is revenge.
Christian Mark was the grandson of Martin White, killed in September 2023 at Pentecost.
He had earlier criminal precedents involving both a charge of <x0 murders deliberately in the remaining attempted co-operation” and another charge of “possession without firearms and combat ammunition”.
In 2023, Mark was suspected of being involved in a gun attack in the direction of Saimir Rechi, grandson of Kastriot Rechi, the last man killed in January 2020 by sniper in the center of Pentecost. However, Mark's involvement was not proven and he was acquitted of charges, Euronews.al reports.
After the accident at the Fier-Vlore axis, authorities exercised raids on the Reci family residence and accompanied several members of the tribe for questioning.
The conflict between Whitedi and Rechi tribes dates back about 28 years and has produced a series of murders, including well-organised assassinations.
