Former Syria President Bashar al-Assad has reportedly escaped an assassination attempt in Moscow, where he has fled with his family since December 8, 2024, when he left the country and fled after the attack by Hayat Tahriri al-Sham (HTS) rebels.
Information has been placed on the Telegram channel “General SVR”, which is believed to be run by a former senior Russian agent. According to Canal sources, the Assad assassination occurred on Sunday (December 29th), when it was poisoned and experienced a critical situation.
Doctors who had been called to his apartment were able to stabilize him. However, no official source has confirmed the news.
” The Sun” writes that Assad requested immediate medical attention because, within seconds of exposure to the suspected toxic substance, he began to cough constantly and felt great difficulty in breathing.
Attempted assassinations occurred at a time when rumours of family tension are being circulated. Reports show that his wife, Asma al-Assad, is seeking divorce and expresses a desire to move to London.
