As parents, you can help them to develop healthy food habits that will accompany them for life.
Here are 10 suggestions that can help to form these customs:
1. Become the good “example”
Children learn from those around them. If parents see them enjoying fruits and vegetables, they will be more inclined to try them.
2. Do not use pressure
Don't make the kids eat. This can scare them and make them more in want of it to try new foods. Let them have control over what they eat.
3. Do not use food as a reward
Giving candy as a reward for the child's consuming fruit or vegetables will create a bad connection with food. After a healthy meal, try offering fruit in forms that are pleasing to your children.
4. Do Not Give Up the Rejection of New Foods
It may take up to 15 times for a child to accept new food. So continue to offer new opportunities without forcing it.
5. Offer Limited Choices
During mealtimes, give some opportunities, but do not overdo it. This will help children to feel secure and to choose what they like.
6. Maintain Small farts
A spoon per year of life is an excellent guide for the delivery. Start with little and offer more if necessary.
