Usually a day before the elections, the presidential election vote is held for the sick and helpless, prisoners in punitive houses and persons in detention, in the homes of the elderly and our citizens abroad.
Candidates for president in northern Macedonia: current President Stevo Pendarovski backed by LSDM, Gordana Siljanovska Davkova from VMRO- DPMNE, Bujar Osmani from the European Front, Arben Taravari from the V coalition LEN, Biljana Vacovska supported by Mayta, Maxim Dimitrievski ZNAM and Stevco Jakimovski from GROM. For presidential elections, 1,814,317 electors were registered on the election list.
In northern Macedonia, 1,713,758 electors are registered, while abroad or consular offices can vote at 2,569 electors.
These elections have been followed by major reactions in Kosovo as well. This was due to Prime Minister Kurti's involvement, having candidates from the Vetevendosje party.
Kurti is supporting the Albanian opposition in Macedonia, against Ali Ahmeti.
Bujar Osmani, the candidate for president by the European Front coalition led by the Democratic Union for Integration, has stressed several times during the campaign that in northern Macedonia, the new government will not be formed after the May 8th parliamentary elections, without an agreement on voting constitutional changes.
