The head of the Serbian entity in Bosnia and Herzegovina, Milorad Dodik, said he would ask Serbia to understand that Republika Srpska should follow the path to partition in Bosnia and Herzegovina because of the Srebrenica Resolution.
Dodik said that despite the UN General Assembly resolution not binding, he would reject its contents because they consider it politically motivated. Being politically motivated in this way does not contribute to stabilising relations in Bosnia and Herzegovina, particularly in stabilising and normalising the Bosniak and Serb people, Dodik told Sarajevo's Face Television.
“I think Vuciq is doing a good job, that he is a responsible statesman of Serbia, and that he understands the context in which any punishment of the Serbian people closes the possibility for some future developmental positions of the people themselves”, he said.
Dodik announced he would propose that Republika Srpska and Serbia jointly reject the resolution in the Serb People's Assembly, which will be held immediately after the resolution vote.
They will also demand that Serbia, as an internationally recognised country and a UN member, officially continue to challenge the elements of that resolution.
I will try to convince Vucinqi and others to support RS in its efforts, because it is signatories and guarantors of the Dayton Agreement. “We will ask Serbia, through international institutions, to continue with the implementation of procedures and indictments for those who indicted Dayton, and that certainly is not Serbia, nor Republika Srpska,” he said.
We want Serbia to understand that we must follow the path of division in Bosnia and Herzegovina, Dodik said, while the journalist's remarks that he is asking Serbia to back up the secession, he replied it is not a split, but a split.
It's not up to me to wait, but to make demands”, he said.
Constantly asked whether Vuciqi will be clearly sought in parliament to support RS in secession, he said they have no plan for secession, but that they want to go for division.
“has an entity line... The split is to take all the functions we have, to secure money in the budget for all workers working in the Ministry of Defence, to attract soldiers and people working in the SIP, to declare that the decisions of the court and prosecutor and of no other authority will be applied to Bosnia and Herzegovina on the territory of Republika Srpska”, Dodik stressed.
