The Commercial Court in London has ruled by the International Court of Arbitrazhi (ICC) that orders Kosovo to pay 20m euros to a British company for a suspended thermal power plant project near Pristina.
In October last year it was found that Kosovo had lost arbitration with the company “Contour Global” (CG), with what it forced it to pay off 20m euros, Klankosova.tv reports.
But, as it seems, neither was this effort finalised in Kosovo's favour.
London's Commercial Court on 25 April has decided to reject the Kosovo government's complaint (QK), leaving the ICC's preliminary decision in power.
Under this decision, Kosovo is forced to pay the company “Contour Global” 20m euros in damages.
Contour Global, which was set to build the new thermal power plant “New Kosovo task force of 500 megawatts per hour, withdrew from the project in 2020 and indicted Kosovo in Arbitrazh for disrespecting the commercial contract signed in 2017.
Judicial processes precede a series of developments, from the difficulty of finding 1.3 billion euros for construction, reducing the interest in coal energy to the arrival of parties V. V- The LDK, which supported the project.
The government-Contour Global Conventionist had also attempted to be resolved through dialogue, but the investor had chosen legal means for which state could soon receive 20m euros.
