Blocking the Nation's Road. Work will be done on a bridge shift.

A segment about two miles [3 km] on the Nation's Road, near the city of Kukes, has been blocked. Because of the constructions for the shift of the new bridge on the final base, from the 6metros bridge to the bridge over the Drin will not be allowed to circulate citizens and vehicles.

Traffic from Kosovo to Tirana and vice versa is diverted to two entry points to the town of Kukes towards the ring to connect with the existing bridge over the Black Drin.

Blocking the segment and diverting the traffic began at 3: 00 a.m. on Saturday and will continue for at least 12 days, until the completion of the metal bridge's shift over the Drin.

Police are committed to managing the traffic that will be generated by this deviation, due to the high flow of resources, and especially those in the transport of heavy goods and tonnage.

The new bridge over the Drin River has been completely completed as metal construction, while through a delicate process it will be moved over the days to final bases on the banks of the lake.

The new bridge has a length of about 10 feet [310 m] of steel structure, with no intermediate supporting points and a metal arch at a height from the 50m base. The new bridge finally shuts down the nerve point of the Nation's road, which created traffic during the summer season.
