Newly elected President Donald Trump on Saturday nominated Devon Nunes, executive director of his Social Media platform, to lead the president's Intelligence Consultative Board, an independent group within the executive office that oversees the compatibility of the American Intelligence Community with the Constitution. Nunes will continue to lead the Trump Media & Technology Group, a public company worth nearly $8 billion.
Trump is the company's largest shareholder, with an estimated 115 million shares currently worth about $4.2 billion, broadcasting Telegrafi.
Nunes once served as a republican lawmaker from California, and was chairman of the House of Representatives Intelligence Committee.
“Devin will be based on his experience and his key role in exposing Russia's fraud to offer me independent assessments of the effectiveness and adaptability of US Intelligence Community activities”, Trump said on Saturday in a post of the Social Truth.
The board “has access to all necessary information to perform its” functions, according to the National Intelligence Director's office, as well as direct access to the president.
