Russia carries out massive attack on Ukraine's energy infrastructure

At least three people have been injured in the northeast region of Harkiwi, which was attacked by Russian ballistic missiles, Ukrainian authorities said.
Regional Governor Oleh Syniehubov has also reported “damage to non-inhabitable civilian infrastructure” in Harkiv.
The regional capital ʹ the town of Harkiwi ʹ faced “with a massive missile attack”, Chairman Ior Terekhov said through the Telegram platform.
“A series of explosions have been heard in the city, and there are still ballistic missiles launching into the town of”, Terekhov wrote on the telegram.
Ukrainian Energy Minister Herman Halushchenko said Russia “again is massively attacking the energy sector”, but did not specify which cities are under attack.
“Operator of the transmission system is taking the necessary measures to limit consumption in order to minimize the negative effects on the energy system”, Halushchenko wrote on the telegram.
Dnipropetrovski Governor Serhiy Lysak reported that this region has faced a massive attack since morning, while Russian forces are using “to destroy the region's energy system”.
Alarms of air strikes have been heard throughout Ukraine on the morning of December 25th, as state air forces have reported that Russian-type Calibr missiles have been launched from the Black Sea.
Since the start of the war in February 2022, Russia has repeatedly attacked Ukraine's energy sector, seriously damaging the power grid and causing frequent power cuts.
A similar attack occurred on December 13th, when more than 90 rockets and 200 drones were used. REL
