According to her, in recent years Kosovo has shown commitment in fighting organised crime and corruption, which was praised by internationals and decided that such progress would be rewarded with the removal of the visa regime.
I want to start with a moment that for many years was a dream to citizens. That goal was a symbol of what we wanted to be. A free and closely connected country with Europe. Today this dream came true. Something like that just happens. This success is the result of Kosovo's commitment to building legal state and fighting corruption. In recent years we have undertaken deep reforms that have increased transparency strengthened the independence of institutions. The fight against corruption has brought concrete results, showing that no one is above the law. Our European partners recognised this progress, and today our citizens can freely move”, Gervala has said.
The top diplomat has already mentioned strengthening Kosovo's passport. Kosovo for 4 years of the Kurti government has received no new recognition and has failed membership in the Council of Europe.
