Osmani has stressed that if the EU says membership in the bloc is done on the basis of merits, then it has had to start the immediate treatment of Kosovo's app and remove measures against it.
She has added further that she has demanded that Serbia be held accountable for acts of aggression in Kosovo.
“Kosovo's future in the EU is inevitable and for us remains a everyday commitment; If the principle of meritocracy is respected, as promoted, then it should move forward with concrete steps on this path, starting with the immediate treatment of our application for membership and the removal of measures against Kosovo that are unfair and non-European; There can be no successful integration of Western Balkan countries if peace and security are constantly threatened. Therefore, Serbia's accountability for continued acts of aggression against Kosovo is key; Despite the challenges, Kosovo does not give up integration into Euro-Atlantic institutions, because above all it is the will of our people”, Osmani wrote on Facebook.
