Osmani has said he can hide the disappointment of how Kosovo is being treated by some EU member states, referring to the failure to withdraw measures against Kosovo.

“If I am honest, I am disappointed with the treatment Kosovo is being treated by several EU member states. If asked why, then clearly the main reason is that there is no progress in removing the measures against Kosovo. They are still in force, and as we have seen in the Council's conclusions, they will not be removed even in December. They're unfair and non-European. There is nothing European, and there is nothing based on value, to punish people even on projects like drinking water. I'm here to thank two-thirds of the member states that supported the removal of the measures and the other measures to ask what is European to punish 1.7 million Europeans living in Kosovo, in the world's most pro-European state, with 97 percent believing on our European path”, Osmani has said.

She has said that Kosovo has listed its foreign policy with that of the EU and has been the first in the region to impose sanctions on Russia.

“E our people remain punished, though we met all the conditions the EU demanded. We have also applied for membership for over two years, and our application is still somewhere in the drawer and it has not been revised”, Osmani said.

If you look at the reforms Kosovo has undertaken, in terms of reforms and values, we are the first in the region even before several EU member states. But we are seeing political will needed by several member states to support us on our European path”.

She has said that all Western Balkan states should be included at this moment of EU enlargement, and the process will be based on merit.

It has congratulated Albania and Montenegro on major progress on the European road, but has said the EU's positive language towards Serbia is delivering bad messages in the region and especially in Kosovo.

The message we receive, especially the people in Kosovo, is that the more you line up with Russia, Iran and China, the more progress you make, and the new clause step closes chapters on the road to EU membership. And if you're a hundred percent lined up with the EU, then there's no progress. This is not a process based on”.

She has mentioned the latest attack on the Iber-Lepenci channel, while she has said that behind the attack were Serb gangs.

Serbia's continued aggression towards Kosovo is against the principles of international law and against good neighbourly values that are EU values. Last month we had an attack on critical infrastructure in Kosovo by Serbian gangs, aimed at leaving 70 per cent of Kosovo's people without water, energy and heating in winter. Looks like Russian attacks in Ukraine in mid-winter. As that happens, Serbia's Sė has taken responsibility for next year's aggression in Kosovo, it is being rewarded and making major progress with opening new chapters. The policy that is based on merit must apply to the entire region”, Osmani said.

She has said Serbia is attacking neighbours, and that in Brussels it comes and talks about European integration.

Siting on two chairs at once, helping Russia in the war in Ukraine does not contribute to peace and stability in the region and beyond. We cannot talk about peace and stability in Europe without peace and stability in the Western Balkans. The state that consistently jeopardises stability in the Western Balkans risks stability even on the continent of Europe”, Osmani said.

Meanwhile, EU foreign policy chief Kaya Kallas has said that the Western Balkans is an important region for Europe and that it is important to advance Western Balkans EU relations.

And European Council President Antonio Costa stressed that expanding the bloc is a priority. Adds that enlargement “is the most important geopolitical investment for peace, security and prosperity”. /Time
