While 142,000 euros is the total amount that has been compensated for persons this year through judicial procedure.
The Kosovo Judiciary Council has indicated that during this year, 227 citizens convicted or arrested without reason have applied for damages.
During this year, this institution has considered 197 requirements, while others are in the preliminary year.
The largest amount during 2024 is 34,812.00 euros, while the smallest amount a person has compensated for is 405 euros.
“During 2024, 247 requests for damages have been reviewed and set. 197 requirements exercised during the year 2024 have been considered, while others are in the preceding year. There are 29 compensation requirements left unattended, 11 are incomplete, while 18 were exercised after December 15th 2024, which will be considered during January 2025”, the KDP's response to the EO says.
