Kosovo and Serbia have agreed on Tuesday to full implementation of the joint declaration on missing persons.
The head of the Government Commission from Kosovo for the Pageur, Andy Hoti, has said it is an important step and that Serbia through condition from the European Union will hand over the information it possesses.
That one, he said, would be held within months and chaired by the EU.
Because it's a whole human issue, I believe the European Union can a little bit more directly, a little more powerfully intervene in this part. Within a month, the first meeting to be chaired by the EU will be held by this joint commission... I believe it doesn't apply to Serbia. This as concern will be raised to hierarchical levels... and will then be reported to the 27 member states of Be. I think that through dedication, Serbia will hand over information it has to”, he declared in Tv1.
On the other hand, he said the apology from Serbia is not enough for the crimes he has committed.
"Without accepting Serbia's crime I don't think that ever in this world we will have normalisation of relations with Serbia. Not only do you accept, the response of the crimes he committed, without compensating the material side of the crimes because the human side is not compensated, without forgiveness... ”, he said.
Kosovo and Serbia reached agreement in 2023 on the joint Declaration on Missing Persons, under the dialogue for normalising relations mediated by the European Union.
