Hill for attack on Iber-Lepenci channel: Right now there's no basis for pointing fingers at someone.

For the explosive explosion in an area of Iber-Lepenci Canal in Zubin Potok, for which the Kosovo government believes that “has been orchestrated by Serbia”, US Ambassador to Belgrade Chris Hill, has said that for the time being, the US “see no basis for pointing its finger at someone”. Christopher Hill about the attack on infrastructure [...]
Christopher Hill said it was important that the attack on the vital infrastructure until it was called in, as he said, the Serbian state's (declaration) readiness “to support serious investigation”.
With international factors involved, Americans are willing to do so, I think there will be an effort that the EU will be there and I hope we can achieve some kind of resolution. (Explosion) could have brought major problems, but fortunately they managed to fix things within the hour, while within days everything normalized... well that doesn't mean we shouldn't have to determine how it happened and who's responsible”, Hill said.
Speaking on the issue of normalising relations between Kosovo and Serbia, the disappointed “said” about the failure to implement the Serb-run municipality Association, which he said “would be implemented over the time”.
This was supposed to be established 12 years ago, and it's still done. There is a lot of work to be done”, he said, adding that the US “supports it”.
I think eventually logic will prevail, and logic means that this association will be formed. I'm disappointed like everyone else why it hasn't been done, but I don't see why it's going to be done in the future”, he added in an interview for “Euronews Serbia”.
Speaking of February 9th parliamentary elections in Kosovo, Hill spoke of Serb participation in that election, adding that “The US has never supported the boycott of elections”.
“I think it is extremely important that the Serb community in Kosovo participate in the elections, and I rejoice that it will. How they will participate, what political formations are in Kosovo now, that remains with them, and we want everyone to participate. The US has never supported the boycott of elections”, he has said.
About the EU-facilitated dialogue, Ambassador Hill said the US fully supports it.
I think there should be a stronger mechanism to make dialogue more successful. I think it's important and there's no alternative but dialogue. I think we should have an effort if the mediators can empower power. Many thoughts should be given this”, he said.
End-of-year activities are coming, among other things, to America the new administration, the new administration at the European Commission, is approaching elections in Kosovo in February. There is a great need to see all these issues well. In the context of all international problems and in the context of the problems that exist, this issue must be resolved. We have to try more”, Hill said.
