Croatia's President Zoran Milanovic said Friday in a conversation with Kosovo Prime Minister Albin Kurti that all EU members who have not yet done so should recognise Kosovo, the Croatian president's office announced.
All conditions for Kosovo's full international citizenship and recognition have been met and especially Kosovo should be recognised by all members of the European Union who have not yet done so”, Milanovic said at a meeting with Kurti, which is on an official visit to Croatia.
The Croatian president added that Kosovo has Croatia's full and firm support on its path towards membership in all international communities.
Milanovic also said normalising relations between Kosovo and Serbia is necessary because it would imply greater stability in Southeast Europe, “which is also in Croatian national interest”, the statement said.
Kurti met earlier Friday with Prime Minister Andrej Pllenkovic and Chief Prime Minister Gordan Jandrokovic.
