The Divjaka will bury cargo by 21 tonnes, while 6 collection points will be checked in Fier and Berat, along with agricultural pharmacists to verify if there are other cases at risk.
In two of these cases, the product has returned to Albania. In one case, the produits have remained at the destination site. For both of the cases the product has come to Albania, AUK has announced quantitary points that have blocked these products at their destination of annihilation. One of the cases has been eliminated by farmers themselves, while the other case will become annihilation by competent authorities today. They are not repeat subjects”, said Martin Jorgaki, director of risk management at the AKA.
The two pesticides used by farmers in Mandarin are not part of the list Albania has approved in October of this year for inputs that could apply to products.
“We have made it possible for field controls and we are in the phase of investigating the situation to find out where these plant protection products were taken. According to the report-analysis from the RASFF system has been used over the rate. We urge farmers to use registered products, products sold at veterinarian drugs and plant conservation. They should apply the time of the card”, Jorgaki said.
These pesticides were part of the list in Albania until 2022, when their use was allowed.
National Food Authority reports that searches for the use of pesticides in black will extend throughout the territory.
