Albania signed the Partnership for Security and Defence Agreement between Albania and the European Union today in Brussels, formalising expanded co-operation in various areas of security and defence.
Minister for Europe and Foreign Affairs Igli Hasani stressed on social networks, stressing that partnership will increase capacities in security and protection.
This strategic partnership will strengthen our efforts to combat hybrid and cyber threats, extremism and further enhance our security and defence capabilities, contributing to a safer and more sustainable Europe”, Hasani said.
Defence Minister Pirro Veng named the qualitative impulse agreement on interaction in the field of security and defence, within the irreversible migration of EU integration.
We will now have more opportunities and European instruments for empowering Albania's Armed Forces, while I am convinced that we will do our best and will add value to the operational commitments of the European Union”, Veng said on social networks.
