Through a Facebook post, Shala has said that from the 2023 Progress Report, there is a failure in proper environmental assessments during hydro-powering procedures, preventing construction in protected areas and managing industrial pollution.
Kosovo has remained at zero point in terms of targets connected with recycling and integrated waste management. This document has calculated that Kosovo has been delayed in adopting the Environment Protection Strategy and Sustainable Development 2022-2030, National Plan for Reducing Downloads and the National Energy and Climate Plan, which are essential environmental management documents and preventing harmful environmental impacts”, Shala has said.
“Disturbing is also the findings that identify that Kosovo is unable to draft appropriate measures for reducing air pollution, despite the fact that it has completed detailed identification of air pollution sources”, he added.
