At 3:25 am local time, Ukraine fired six ballistic missiles at an facility in Bryansk, the ministry said, CNN.
Russian air defence knocked down five of the missiles, and another was damaged.
If confirmed, this would be the first attack when Ukraine used the longest-range American weapons to hit targets within the depth of Russian territory.
