LDK Chairman Lumir Abdixhiku said his party has a more bold and ambitious plan for transforming the health system.
We want to build a new hospital. Completely new, completely new location. Modern, of the time, with a view to providing and coping with the health needs of the population for the next 50 years. The University Clinical Centre, here in Pristina, was built in 1964, and in all its incompatibility, it continues to receive repair investments but never be at the level with hospitals that we normally find in the region”, Abdixhiku said.
He said they have allocated 250m euros for the construction of the new hospital.
Abdixhiku said the LDK also envisions international management of our hospitals, in order to separate, health management from the health profession.
The LDK also with the political programme “New”, envisions health insurance 3.5% + 3.5%; full digitisation of health and health intelligence system;
International hospital management, 150m euros in investment in new equipment; as well as health staff coefficator 150
Abdixhiku, before the LDK health experts, also spoke of Kosovo doctors leaving.
To address this problem and help keep young doctors in the country, we, in addition to increasing wages through the 150 cofficient, will guarantee and employment within six months of completing studies for all young doctors; while, wage specialisation will be guaranteed within two years by the completion of their” studies, Abdixhiku said.
He also said they would invest in modernisation and development of seven existing regional hospitals in order to provide full secondary care services to patients of respective regions.
