About a year after the murder of Liridona Ademij, the prosecution shows why there is no charge of Naim Mursel yet

On November 29, 2023, Kosovo was shocked by a macabre murder that took place in Pristina. Victim was a woman, a mother of two who was later identified as Liridona Ademiaj.

Liridona Ademiaj was killed with a bullet in the neck in a hidden area in the village of Sinidoll in Pristina, where the macabre killing was organised.

The 30-year-old was shot while she was in the car with her husband, Naim Mursel, who later proved to be involved in her murder, setting up a trap for her and paying people to kill Liridona Ademi, his wife, who had been married to 12 years.

Although nearly a year is being carried out by the killing that rocked the entire country, Pristina's Founding Prosecutor has not yet filed charges against Naim Mursel and two other suspects who are being held in custody since the murder took place. The three suspects are being held in custody at the High Security Prison.

Even about a year after the macabre crime that rocked Kosovo, the State Prosecutor has not even wanted to speak about the establishment of the indictment.

The online newspaper Reporter.net has been sending questions about the failure to lift the indictment, but Pristina's Constitutional Prosecutor has returned no response, despite the media recalling the questions.

Meanwhile, last week the Constitutional Court in Pristina has continued for another two months the detention measure of Naim Mursel, Cocall and Granit Plava, who are suspected of killing Liridona Ademij.

The three suspects, the detention measure, continued until December 24th, 2024.

Initially, the three suspects -- the Constitutional Court in Pristina on December 3rd, 2023 -- had assigned the detention measure to 30 days long, which the Court of Appeals had also ruled.

Although for a few weeks after the murder, the exact motives for the murder of Liridona Ademiaj, who had Swedish citizenship with her husband and two sons are not known.

In this case, suspected of killing Ademiaj, are her husband, Naim Murseli, suspected of organising the murder, Granit Plava, Cocalla Confront, and T.D.

Liridona Ademiaj, after herself, has left two sons -- her murder had sparked harsh reactions in society.

Naim Murseli, otherwise was a prominent figure in Kosovo. He had been working for a while as political adviser to New Kosovo Alliance Chairman Behgjet Pacolli and was considered one of the businessman's closest men.

Prosecution File

Hours before Liridona Ademiaj was killed, the suspect in the case of organising his wife's murder, Naim Murseli, had met with suspect Cocalla telling “so this job must be done, alluding to Ademaj's murder, the prosecution claims in her file.

According to the file, the meeting had occurred at a centre in Gjakova at 9:30 minutes in the morning.
