Jasharaj raises the alarm: The number of driving teachers is increasing

SBASK Chairman Beftman Jashari has said the situation in Kosovo's education sector is bad for two reasons. The first, according to him, is also due to the decline in nightiness due to the flight from the country for a better life in the countries of the European Union. He has said that as a cause of this in rural areas, there are trends toward school closures and a greater commitment is needed for educational workers not to be without jobs.

“E has a poor situation in the education sector, for two moments, due to the nighting that continues to decline in Kosovo, but also because of the escapes, or going to other countries for a better life, and this has affected the educational system. During the past school year we've been dealing with this issue and we've had information that I can call non-confirmed that the number of those leaving is increasing, I mean the demands that were for a break by the law, a year without pay, and we were afraid that these people take this vacation and try their luck out and if they're stable, they don't come back. We were especially afraid of what we call science, technology, mathematics, and other tissues. We published through the media the first numbers that we mentioned in our 300 reports and expected Minister Arberie Nagavci and the ministry to react. We'd be happy to be injured, but the Ministry's silence tells us that there are truths here. Our disaster is that what is known in rural areas tend to shut down schools and we are stewards of the situation and we fight that educational workers without their blame happen to this situation with parallel closures or schools as a whole not to be left without jobs”, Jasharaj said.

He said that so far the state and the SBASK have seen to it that teachers are not out of work as a result of closing schools. But he has stressed that given the current state of departure the situation will change and there will be school closures, the EO reports.

So far we don't have this situation and the state being careful, but even the SBASK is its guardian, we don't have a figure that shows that someone is out of work because of closing schools. But this can't happen on borders and I think that our state, the Government, whether it be the government that comes in the February elections, should sit down and make a platform for the country level, not happen to us as it once did in Kamenica. Make a decision based on the level of the place where all parties would be involved, MASTTI, Government, Parents and SBASAK”, Jasharaj said.
