So reported British media Independent, while reflecting Prime Minister Keir Starmer's participation at the European Political Community summit in Hungary.
This is not the European Union, and none of these three countries are (still) members of the EU, so it bypasses conservative accusations that it is trying to overlap Brexit”.
These agreements aim to boost the exchange of information and expertise to crack down on criminal trafficking networks, the British government announced.
The initiative came ahead of the European Political Community meeting, where Starmer will lead a discussion on migration.
The prime minister called for co-ordinated actions to reduce the number of victims in the English Canal due to dangerous and illegal passage by small boats.
During his speech at the Glasgow Interpol Conference, Starmer stressed that organised crime regarding migration should be addressed with the same importance as terrorism.
He warned that only through international co-operation would it be possible to destroy the criminal networks of traffickers exploiting migrants.
