Pristina Deputy Chairman Alban Zogaj has indicated that cutting the trees at the National Theatre, as he said, a space representing our history, culture and identity, indicated to be an unforgivable act.
Zogaj has asked the Culture Ministry for immediate explanation for this decision he has called scandalous.
Unacceptable and shameful “Cutting wood at the National Theatre, a space that represents our history, culture and identity, is an unforgivable act. The decision to undermine such an important environment by the Ministry of Culture is evidence of a complete lack of responsibility and respect for our cultural and environmental heritage”.
The “The hands are not just a decorative element they are part of our city, a symbol of our collective memory and a source of fresh air for citizens. It is unacceptable that on behalf of “development” destruction values that give meaning to our city and our lives”.
“Requesting the Ministry of Culture immediate explanation for this scandalous decision and account for the damage caused. Such behavior cannot be tolerated! We're planting every day, they're cutting”, wrote Zogaj.
