The Vetevendosje movement has called for the opposition that this autumn session should support at least international agreements. From the Democratic League of Kosovo, it has promised support but demand that the bills are not anti-competitive. Meanwhile, the Democratic Party of Kosovo underlines that they will participate in any vote in the Assembly.
The PDK's LDK has had criticism as far as power is concerned, due to the number of MPs they have.
Vetevendosje Movement MP Arber Rexhaj has told Online Economy that the only power requirement is supporting the International Agreements.
He has said they have done the same as they were in the opposition.
Their official statements show that they will not be part of the vote. But what worries me most is the international vote, when Kosovo will obtain tools from laws that have to be voted on, and of course my request to them would be because it's good for citizens, so any law is good for citizens, but these international agreements should be voted regardless of position or opposition”, Rexaj said.
I think the vital laws that mattered very much, we voted, so I looked at lists and I found that in most cases we voted in pro, but there were times when we didn't agree, so either we didn't participate or it was a vote against. There's too many. Among them is the Law on Education that should pass as soon as possible. We have several bills that are on our Security Commission, which they have to pass, there are particularly international bills and that Kosovo would benefit greatly in economic terms”, he has said further.
Democratic League of Kosovo MP Rzazarta Krasniqi has called on the majority to agree with the opposition so that this session can produce good results of citizens.
It has declared how the LDK has always supported international agreements, but says it will oppose bills that are anti-controversial.
I wanted to sit down and agree. Nothing has changed, and you've seen that we as LDK have always supported international agreements and those laws that have been in the best of citizens, but we can't support laws that are anti-competitive. You've seen that for the time being they've brought anti-continual laws that we don't support. So it's normal, we have a constitution based on it and we don't support those laws that are contrary to the Constitution”, Krasniqi says.
While Democratic Party of Kosovo MP Eliza Hoxha has cited the decision of the Steering Council of this party not to vote on the Kurti Government initiative.
“Believed you, it has been months since the Steering Council of the Democratic Party of Kosovo has made a decision that we do not vote the initiatives of the Kurti Government, precisely because we've never been able to dialogue on domestic issues, and in that sense, I believe that the full issue could probably remain hostage to their own quorum, since they always have quarrumin”, Hoxha said.
