White House doubts leaks of secret records on Iran and Epstein to NY Times journalists

Senior White House officials suspect that two New York Times journalists, Maggie Habberman and Jonathan Swan, have provided recordings or detailed information from the Chamber of Situations' confidential meeting (Situation Room), which were used in their new book “Regime Change” (“Change of Regime”).
According to fragments published by the New York Times, authors accurately describe several high-level meetings related to the Iran war and Jeffrey Epstein files.
According to American media Axios, if it proves that conversations conducted in the Chamber of Situations have been recorded and flowed out, it is a very serious breach of security in one of the most protected and secure environments in the world.
This space is prohibited from using personal registration equipment. However, a source from the US administration told Axios there is concern that some of the most sensitive discussions may have been recorded without the officials' knowledge.
“We fear that some of our most sensitive conversations have been recorded and that we do not know exactly which of them”, the source was quoted as saying.
White House officials have not rejected the authenticity of the published dialogue. Among them is a State Secretary Marco Rubio's statement concerning Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's scenarios of changing the regime in Iran.
The report adds that President Trump himself is angry about the level of details contained in the book and descriptions of internal administration discussions.
The book “Regime Change” will be officially published on June 23rd.
