Today in Skopje, the next Brdo-Brion summit is held, during which, according to North Macedonia President Stevo Pendarovski, participating states “will reaffirm the commitment to strengthening regional co-operation, resolving open issues and progress towards integration into the European Union”.
At this meeting, according to the Macedonian president's cabinet, Kosovo President Vjosa Osmani; Albania's Bajram Begaj; Serbia's Aleksandar Vuciq; Slovenia's Natasa Pirc Musar; Croatia's Zoran Milanovic, Bosnia and Herzegovina presidency members Zelko Komsic, Denis Becirovic and Zelka Cvianovic and Montenegrin President Jakova Milatovic.
The focus of this year's meeting of leaders of countries participating in the Brdo-Brion Process in Skopje is European integration and resolving open issues in the focus of the Brdo-Brion summit in Skopje, climate changes and youth immigration”, the Macedonian Presidency Community says.
The Brdo-Brion process is a Slovenian-Croatian initiative, undertaken in 2010 by Borut Pahor, Slovenia's prime government.
Its aim is to strengthen bilateral confidence in the Western Balkans, regional co-operation and the fastest integration of this region into the EU.
President Pendarovski, on Sunday, has hosted a dinner for the presidents of participating states except for Serbia's president, Aleksandar Vuciq, who has warned on Monday on the day of meeting.
The heads of state of the Brdo-Brion process meet at least once a year.
At last year's summit, held in Brdo, Slovenia, part of the concluded conclusions was the call to the European Union to offer Kosovo visa liberalisation, while Bosnia and Herzegovina status candidate state for membership in the European bloc.
The visa liberalisation decision for Kosovo citizens comes into force on 1 January 2024, while Bosnia and Herzegovina has received candidate status in December last year.
Kosovo President Vjosa Osmani will attend the inauguration ceremony of St. Teresa's bust in the space of the Kosovo Embassy in Skopje.
According to its media office, this organization is held at 6:00.
Northern Macedonia President Stevo Pendarovski and Albania's Bajram Begaj will also attend the ceremony.

This meeting is organised by three countries: Northern Macedonia, Slovenia and Croatia.
There, leaders are expected to adopt a joint declaration, whereby regional challenges and priorities will be identified, focused on the integration of Balkan countries into the EU.
The participating countries are also: Albania, Kosovo, Serbia, Bosnia and Herzegovina and Montenegro.
The Brdo-Brijun summit is an annual multilateral organisation in the Western Balkans, initiated in 2013 by Slovenian President Borut Pahor and Croatian President Ivo Josipovic.
