Begaj tells Osman: Need better and closer co-ordination with international partners

At a joint news conference for the media, Albania's President Begaj asked his counterpart for better co-ordination with the US for the situation in the north.

“Need better and closer co-ordination with partners, the US and the EU. Co-ordination with partners is necessary. The assessment opens, undertaken by the government for de-exceting the situation in the north.

Dialogue is the only way towards peace, normalisation of reports and membership in organisations, including the UN”, he said.

Begaj also added that Kosovo is Albania's national priority.

This year, after my first visit to Kosovo, I had the honour of welcoming Osman. Welcome to your home. In our conversations, beyond our brotherly spirit, attention was the most serious issues of interstate interest but also the best coordination of our national issue. Regarding interstate co-operation, attention was focused on deepening relations. I underlined that relations are very good and should be guided by national interest to deepen co-operation at all levels. No one is surprised that Kosovo is the national priority of Albania”, Begaj said.
