Austrian Eurodeput, Lucas Mandl, has backed the Kosovo rapporteur's statement in the European Parliament, Violet von Cremon, that visa liberalisation for Kosovo should not be linked to the process dialogue with Serbia.
Mandl has written on Twitter that it would be a historic mistake if visa liberalisation for Kosovo is postponed.
I'm glad you followed my initiative, Violet. So did @andreykovachev, @ SCHIEDER, @ilhankykyuk. I'm grateful for that. This is an interparty initiative. It would be a historic mistake to postpone liberalisation for Kosovo”, Mandl wrote.
Cremon today has written that she and a group of eurodeptetets have said they want to make it clear that free visa movement is not and should not be linked to dialogue with Serbia.
“The EU must keep its promise to allow Kosovo citizens to travel freely from January 1st, 2024x1>, Cromon wrote.
