1 month detention for suspected assassination bomber Prime Minister Kurti

The Constitutional Court in Pristina has placed one month in custody for the suspect, the N.S., after allegedly running the assassination of Prime Minister Kurti.

He is suspected of criminal activity “Dhuna against senior representatives of the Republic of Kosovo of the Republic of Kosovo Penal Code”.

“Pristic, 01 September 2023 ) The Constitutional Court in Pristina, the Special Department, has ruled on the request of the Special Prosecutor of the Republic of Kosovo for the appointment of the detention measure against indictees N. S, due to the suspicion that he committed criminal acts of violence against senior representatives of the Republic of Kosovo, from Article 121 over Article 119 of the Republic of Kosovo Penal Code. The preliminary procedure judge has approved as based the Special Prosecutor's request of the Republic of Kosovo for the appointment of the detention measure against the N.S. defendant, and the same has assigned the measure of detention in length of 1 (one) month”, the statement said.

Against this act, disgruntled parties have the right to complaint at the Court of Appeals, through the Constitutional Court in Pristina.
