Testifying against Thaci and others, witness Bozanic acknowledges even Serb civilians were armed by Serbia

Thaci's lawyer, Gregoru Keohe, is continuing with questions about the 17th witness at the Special Court.

The Serbian Witness has acknowledged that prior to the attack by KLA members, civilian Serbs on that side were armed by Serbia.

Keohe has faced several statements in the past.

Keohe: You asked if any of the men had been part of the Serbian Army and you said no. I think in your statement you said that many of the men in your village were armed with guns?

Witness: Yeah.

Keohe: When the conflict began in Kosovo is it correct to say that Serbian authorities were given weapons to civilians in various villages?

Witness: This happened before. Which years I don't remember. It happened earlier.

Keohe: Is it a fact that your village men had taken guns from Serbia?

Witness: Yes

Keohe: Serbian authorities gave guns to civilians even in demonstrations?

Witness: Not in protest. Weapons are distributed to men.

Keohe: Let us see the document. You have said during demonstrations in Kosovo you have been given weapons. Whoever took the gun took the gun to the demonstration. Do You Recall?

Witness: Yeah.

Keohe: When you talk about it, do you mean that during the Kosovo demonstration Serbian authorities have given weapons to Serbs?

Witness: Yes

Keohe: Is it correct that Serbian authorities have given civilians weapons throughout Kosovo?

Prophetship: I don't know about all of Kosovo.

Keohe: The day the incident occurred, many of the Serbs came to your home. Right?

Witness: Yeah. When the shooting started, I found out they had guns.

Keohe: When did you start shooting, did you find out that Serb men at home had guns?

Witness: Yes

Keohe: When they arrived at your house, did they have ammunition and bulletproof vest?

Witness: He had a vest on him.

Keohe: Any ammo?

Witness: No, no. It was a military vest, but there was nothing there.

Keohe: You said she had a gun in her hands. He didn't have it in his hand. When you said it here, who was it?

Witness: My rifle is wrong. I didn't have a gun at all. She had a shotgun and left it on the cart.

Keohe: The woman we were talking about, did she have a shotgun and ammo?

Witness: I haven't seen this.

Keohe: Do you agree with me that prior to the incident, Serbs had distributed weapons to Serb civilians?
