Strange in Italy, -3 degrees and snow since early August

It's unusual to have snow in August, but that's what happened in some regions of Italy this Saturday.

The sudden decline in temperatures has brought snowfall to the top of Marmoolada, as today's Punta Penina (3343m) refuge has been completely white, according to several videos posted on social networks.

Civetta's top, in the Zoldo area, has also turned white, while the minimum registered in Marmolada was still three degrees below zero this morning.

On the plains, temperatures dropped by about 10 degrees. In cities today, thermometers have moved from 15 to 17 degrees.

The entire region was engulfed by heavy rainfall, with accumulated up to 50 to 60 millimeters in the Rovigo area and in the southernmost part.
