Meningitis, as explained by the Ministry of Health, is an inflammation of membranes that surround and protect the brain and marrow. There are certain forms of meningitis, but the one responsible for the most serious and potentially deadly cases is the bacterial type.
Fortunately, it is also rare. The most frightening Pathogene, although not the most common, identifies the Ministry of Health, is the Menningoccus (Neissery meningitisidis), of which there are some serious groups.
Meningitis Doubt - How to Know the Symptoms
Given that meningitis diagnosis can be made only by doctors, there are certainly symptoms that may suggest possible presence of the disease. The main ones are headaches, very high fever, vomiting, unconscious from time to time, nausea; drowsiness and loss of appetite.
Newborns, where some of the symptoms described above may be slightly apparent, report constant crying, nervousness, and poor appetite. It should be noted that the various symptoms shown are common to other pathologies, so these are not stated exclusively in their presence of meningitis.
Experts add that petals, or red spots, or purple, may appear in fuller forms. In the presence of symptoms shown, immediately contact specialised personnel, such as the general physician or emergency room, which will determine the most appropriate therapy based on diagnosis.
In particular cases, an extraordinary inoculation campaign against pathogens responsible for meningitis can be offered, in concrete cases, the type of meningokoccus C. The vaccine is actually the best weapon to fight any possible infection. It begins to go into effect 8-10 days after the application, as defence becomes maximum after a month.
