Kosovo's State Attorneyate has confirmed that it has exercised indictments, on August 2nd of this year with the Commercial Court in Pristina, against two economic operators, the grain company from Turkey “YAfe Turizm Insaat” and the oil company from Poland “Xanto SP.ZO.O.O.O.x3>.
The indictment against the two companies has been exercised as part of the wheat, oil and sugar that were bought for state reserves during 2022 have not yet come to Kosovo. The damage to the state budget, according to the Special Prosecutor, is over 600 thousand euros.
“Referenced your request, we inform you that the State Lawyers have initiated judicial charges at the Commercial Court in Pristina against two economic operators, Yafe Turizm Insaat and Xanto SP.Z.O.O.”, said in response to the State Lawyer for “Betim for Justice”.
“Padays have been delivered on the date 02.08,2023”, further said in response to the State Lawyer.
So far there are three arrested for the relationship of state reserves, two of them state officials Hafiz Gara, Irfan Lipovica and businessman Ridvan Muharremi.
Otherwise, the Special Prosecution began on August 18, 2023, at 6: 00 a.m., the action for the raid on the Ministry of Industry, Undertaking and Trade, and went to businessman Ridvan Muharremi's property. After the action, the ministry's two officials and the businessman came under suspicion of corruption and other criminal acts.
Minister Roseta Hajdari has said the same day that MINT's two officials are innocent and that they have not committed any legal violations until she has accused the police of illegally receiving state reserve documents, thus jeopardising national security.
However, Gzim Shala, senior researcher at the Kosovo Institute for Justice (IKD), has explained that in cases based on conditions defined by the Criminal Procedure Code, the court issues orders for house or person control, it is not entirely relevant whether the evidence seized through which the criminal work exam is targeted or not classified.
Also, Prime Minister Albin Kurti had published a video message with which he accused the justice system of trying to bring the former rotten political charter back to power. He has said Rosette Hajdari is not a violation of the law and there is no corruption in state reserves.
The same language has been used by Finance Minister Iron Murati, who has said that the justice system is aiming to bring down the Kurti Government in spectacles. And the prosecution of the Special Prosecutor also dropped ministers and deputies from the Vetevendosje Movement ranks.
