The North Mitrovica municipality had made a decision to join the Kosovo Communist Association.
The decision in question was made during a session of the Northern Mitrovica Municipal Assembly.
The newly elected chairman of the North Mitrovica municipality, Erden Attic, through an official request months earlier had demanded that the municipality he leads be joined in the Kosovo Communist Association . . .
The Kosovo Communist Association was formed in 2001 after the first democratic municipal elections. The establishment of the Kosovo Commission Association is based on Article 10 of the European Charter of Local Self-Government within the Council of Europe.
