Osman defends Kurt after visiting northern Macedonia: Little Misunderstanding

Kosovo President Vjosa Osmani said Prime Minister Albin Kurti's visit to northern Macedonia on Friday that we left behind has been misunderstood. Osmani at the media conference held on the occasion of visit to the Dragas municipality said North Macedonia is one of Kosovo's most precious neighbours.
“The movement of a citizen and not something organised... At gatherings, none of the organizers control what is in their hands, but that's a principle. Of course, if North Macedonia institutions have any concern, our only requirement as institutions of the Republic of Kosovo is that everything be done in line with the highest international standards of human rights protection, the highest international standards of protection of non-US communities, and by always respecting the statehood that the Albanian community has had in building the state of Northern Macedonia and this extraordinary role continues to play today, and that is what the institutions of North Macedonia know... This is a small misunderstanding, since we have both sides, as we have always witnessed, is overcome, knowing that all Kosovo institutions are interested only in ever-growing positive relations with northern Macedonia”, Osmani said.
Macedonian political factors are viewing Kurt's presentation as nationalist, during whose speech -- ahead of thousands of supporters in Tetovo -- publicly displayed a “flag. Ethnic Albania”
The Macedonian president, Stevo Pendarovski, has also reacted to this fact, has said that “the emphasis of provocative nationalist iconography represents hatred and ethnic intolerance, attacks basic values of the Ohrid Framework Agreement”.
He has called for rally organisers in Tetovo and Ciir to be legally sanctioned. / KSP
