Murati calls AKK's warning of sending constitutional tax law hypocritical

Finance Minister Iron Murati has called the Kosovo Communist Association initiative hypocritical to submit the Law on Taxation in Property to the Constitutional Court. Has he said the AKK dominated the opposition and that the decision to abolish 100 euros in property tax has been made for the benefit of citizens. [...]
Has he said the AKK dominated the opposition and that the decision to abolish 100 euros in property tax has been made for the benefit of citizens.
This brings us back to the initial point that we have said that mainly in the opposition, which in this case even the AKK is dominated by the opposition there is some kind of hypocrisy in itself in terms of what they claim. If the demand has been to lower tax burdens for citizens, we have enabled them with this law, and now it is the very municipalities that have demanded that tax burdens be lifted for citizens who are opposing the measure. What we have done as Government is that we have enabled them through Law and municipalities to decide by June 16th”, he said.
On the other hand, Murati said this decision does not harm the municipal budget.
There were 33.2m euros until yesterday. Over the past year, there were 34.5m euros. We're at the full level of last year before the end of August. Can't be said to damage the municipal budget. I believe that by the end of August they will spend last year's budget. This is just a game of some of the municipalities and the AKK. On one hand they claim to have the burden of citizenship, and when the government took such a step they then oppose it. I find it absurd even sending to the Constitutional Court because the government has no interference in this regard, but the entire decision-making is at the municipal level”, he said further.
