Mitrovica Education Director: Even Nagavci sé has a clear understanding of how books will be provided

Today, the meeting has been held between the education directors from all municipalities in Kosovo, where it was discussed the recently created situation in terms of the supply of textbooks.

Mitrovica Education Director Drita Kadriu criticised Education Minister Arberie Nagavci for her proposal on the matter of textbooks.

Minister Nagavci, days ago, said that this year, the government would not provide textbooks for I-IX classroom students, but that they would be bought by parents whose government would restore.

Even Nagavci does not understand how this process will flow. So, I think that the delays in progress have made it difficult for this start of the school year”, she said in Klan Kosova.

Kadriu said Nagavci's proposal that parents compensate for the purchase of textbooks has had to start earlier.

“As if the processes had started earlier, when, in late May and June, professional school activists have chosen the books through instructions the Ministry has distributed for a portion of books, which is called Lot1, and those data are collected in the ministry, while for the second part of the books we have expected that during June we will receive instructions for Lot2, but this has not happened. So, since the end of June, there has been a concern about what is happening in this important process”, said Mitrovica Education Director Drita Kadriu.
