Eighteen troops have been found in a forest area of northern Greece hit by fires over the past four days, the Greek fire service says.
The first reports say that those who died may have been immigrants. A doctor and an investigative group are going to the scene in the Dadia Forest.
The Evros region in northeastern Greece, not far from the Turkish border, has been destroyed by fires, reports the BBC.
Patients moved from a hospital after the fires reached Alexandroupolis.
The flames reached the city's university hospital facilities, and newborn babies and intensive care patients were among those who were evacuated to a ferry anchored at the city port.
