“With 12.08.23, around 17:15 it is reported that on the route of the KLA, South Mitrovica, a person has been found without life. At the scene, it has been identified that the lifeless person is the victim S. M., 65 years old. First the case has qualified as suspicious death, the prosecution ordered that the victim's body be autopsied at the Institute of Legal Medicine (IML)”, police report.
As a result of intensive investigations by Regional Sector investigators, police suggest that by August 13th 2023, on suspicion of involvement in the case has been identified and arrested suspect J. N., 43, citizen of the Republic of Kosovo. In terms of material evidence quality, the victim's vehicle was confiscated, which was found in possession of the suspect.
With the prosecutor's decision, the suspect has been assigned the detention measure for 48 hours. While the case of suspected death has been re-qualified in criminal work “serious murder”, Kosovo Police report. /Periscopi/
