They are completely loyal to Russian President Vladimir Putin, and also leads border forces, the BBC writes.
The view is that this development probably energizes the position of Russian Defence Minister Sergei Shoigu and the head of the General Staff of the Russian Armed Forces, Valery Gerasimov, who had long previously been publicly criticised.
On the other hand, this is good news for Ukraine as these two are considered uncompetent.
MI6's former chief, John Saweers, said very likely Vladimir Putin stands behind the reported death of Yevgeny Pigozin.
“You can never be sure of the facts in countries like Russia, but all indicators lead to the fact that Putin has killed him -- he has restored his control”, the BBC told him.
Saeers said it was probably a device that the “accidentally crashed the plane and killed everyone on board”. /Periscopi/
