This Administrative Direction is aimed at determining the initiative procedure, organisation and handover of citizens' initiatives to remove the mayor from the” position, Article 1 of this directive says.
In turn, Article 4, the initiative to apply for the mayor's departure, says that each citizen or citizen group has the right to vote in the respective municipality has the right to take the initiative to oust the mayor and that each citizen or citizen group taking the initiative to remove the mayor of the municipality will appoint a responsible person serving as a point of contact.
Article 5, meanwhile, says that if the request is found to be supported by at least twenty percent of registered voters, the vote for the mayor's departure is organised.
The Ministry of Management of Local Power is responsible for monitoring and implementation of this Guidance.
