The chairman of the Association of Kosovo Liberation Army Invalids, Geevdet Qerici, has declared that the only hope not to protest the Law on the minimum wage, which does not include the pension of KLA veterans, recently adopted in the Assembly, is the failure of this law by the president.
In a direct link to KTV's <x0 Minutes”, Qrerici has said whether the president decrees this law, the only way to seek their rights is protest.
If the president doesn't sign it and send it back to the Assembly, I believe there's space to change. If signed by the president, it would be difficult to have any other space, but we are under pressure from the war categories and we have no choice but to protest by demanding our rights”, he said.
He has said that for the adoption of this law, the government has not discussed anything with war veterans' organisations, though they are legal categories.
“We have been open to co-operate in this direction, but unfortunately the Government has decided to initiate this change of law and send it to the Assembly, we have also asked the president not to sign this law and pass veterans, otherwise we have no choice. The only way to protest” is to protest it.
