Speculations grow over policy impact on the release of Serbian citizens from detention, Minister Svechla is silent

Speculation has been added that the release from the detention of Serbs, who attacked journalists, is taking place on political influence. Serbia's claim that there has been a hand in their release and the silence of the Kosovo government has raised doubts that the release from their detention is being done with co-ordination between the two countries. Minister [...]

Interior Minister Jhelal Svecla was very loud when Kosovo police arrested suspects of violence against journalists and KFOR members in the north.

For any arrest, he posted statuss in his account to “Facebook” pointing to their criminal activity.

But when the release of those arrested from custody has begun, Minister Svecla has kept silent.

So far, four Serbs arrested under suspicion of assault on journalists and KFOR members have been released and the Ministry of Internal Affairs has not spoken yet.

Neither has Kosovo Prime Minister Albin Kurti spoken of the issue.

The silence on this subject has broken the VV spokesman and several other ruling party officials.

VV spokesman Arlind Manjuka has expressed surprise at these releases from custody.

The majority of journalists who have been released from the Court these days are not just journalists' attackers, they have been active part of the groups there. So they are not persons who were found by chance in problem or isolated cases, but actively and actively involved there”, he has praised.

In his view, other measures have been possible.

It's really weird how these people's decision to be released, especially on bail, when the Criminal Code has dozens of other options in these cases. These releases will only be encouragement for them to continue their old routine, while others will be motivated to engage in these cases/groups. And with these decisions, I don't know how journalists will be free to report back from there. And not only those”, Manjuka has suggested.

Claims of Political Influence

For the release of Serbs suspected of their detention measure, it is “that has been exploited” and Serbia, taking credit.

After the release of Uros Vukasinovic, Serbia's chief negotiator for talks with Kosovo, Petar Petkoviq, has written that he “is the fourth Serb to be released”.

And Uros Vukasinovic, Serb arrested in Leposaviq on June 17th by Kurti police, has been released today! He had just joined his family. Uros is the fourth Serb we freed and continue the war for all our fellow countrymen arrested innocently!”, Petkovic wrote on his account at “Titter”.

The Government of Kosovo and Minister Svechla has silented these claims.

This has led opposition representatives and connoisseurs of political circumstances to express doubts that the releases are occurring with co-ordination.

Secretary PDK, Betim Djoshi, has charged Prime Minister Kurti that suspects of attacks on journalists are releasing them in co-ordination with Serbian List Deputy Chairman Milan Radojciqi.

He has suggested that the Kosovo government is releasing Serbs under suspicion of serious criminal acts with the same strategy it once freed former Serbian police officer Dejan Pantic.

“Prime Minister, you as associate of the chief criminal and deputy head of the Serbian List, Milan Radojciki, are releasing members of his gangs. The government Zdravo is pretending not to know why Serbs arrested under suspicion of serious criminal acts are being released, but the strategy you used with the release of Pantic was no longer granted. We all know you're coordinating with Milan Radojchi. Even their release is coordinated”, Joshua wrote.

Analyst Halil Maloku has expressed similar claims.

He has suggested that these are indicators that the Ohrid Agreement is being implemented in secret.

The withdrawal of 25% of special police from municipal buildings is the first step from the Kosovo side towards de-accuration. This step, along with early elections in the north (September, 2023) as well as the release from arrest to defend the freedom of five Serbs, that Minister Svecla portrayed “terrorism “and “kriminal” Indicatively that the parties have begun to take over the Brussels chapter, respectively, Ohrid, behind the back and eyes of the public<5>, he wrote in his account <6xFic> to <6 Facebook>.

According to him, this is being done in co-ordination between Kurt and Radojciqi.

The Kurt Kurt makes this masquerade in co-ordination with the country's north underworld boss Milan Radojčić, to keep it secret from voters and from their extensive actions, and to trust the crowds in their strong ethno-nationalist rhetoric. It's as if Vucie is attacking the sovereignty of Kosovo, and as Kurt is successfully defending it!”, he wrote.

So far from the detention measure, Uros Vukasinovic, Nemanja Vlaskovic, Dalibor Spasac and Rados Petrovic have been released.
