US sanctiones Serbian company, supports Russia

The definitions published today by OFAC and the State Department take measures to prevent Russia's access to products supporting its military and combat efforts; to reduce Russia's revenues from the metal and mining sector; to undermine its energy capacities in the future; to degrade Russia's access to the international financial system; and to leave Russia hungry by the technology produced by G7, the technology needed for its sectors of technology, airspace and defence.
Today's “Actions represent another step in our efforts to limit Russia's military capabilities, access to battlefield supplies and its latest economic point”, said Deputy Secretary of Treasury Wally Adeyemo. “As long as Russia continues to carry out its unprofessed and brutal fight against Ukraine, we will impose sanctions to deprive Russia of the technology it needs and disrupt the Russian arms industry' capacity to refuel”.
Among the companies that have been sanctioned is a Serb.
Ivan Cvetic and his company MCI TRADING DOO BELGRADE PALILULA (also known as MCI DOO BELGRADE), are among the new US sanctioned. This is after the company in question has helped a Russian company that assists the Russian defence industry.
“The company with Disabilised Responsibilities AK Microtech (AKM) is a Russian-based firm that specializes in transferring foreign semi-compliance technology to Russian micro-powering companies, including the subjects that provide microelectrics to the Russian defence industry. A number of these bottom-up users are on the list of specially designated citizens and treasuryrs blocked persons, as well as on the list of subjects of the Department of Commerce”.
“The AKM uses non-Russian mediators to disturb Russian recipients. Such mediator is Serbia-based firm MCTrading DOO Belgrade Palila (MCI), which has helped The AKM buys high-tech products from producers in Asia, Europe and the Middle East. The MCI has also made dozens of shipments to the AKM since the beginning of the Russian invasion of Ukraine in February 2022. Serbian citizen Ivan Cvetic is the director of MCI”.
“The AKM is designated by E.O. 14024 has operated or operated on the electronic sector of the Russian Federation economy. MCI and Cjetik are defined by E.O. 14024 because they helped materially, sponsored or offered financial, material or technological support to the AKM, or goods or services to the AKM or supported AKM” says the US Treasury Department.
Days ago, the US also sanctioned Serbian intelligence chief Aleksandar Vulin.
